Kathy serves as Director of Marketing for Fallston Group and has more than 20 years of experience in strategic marketing, branding, PR and marketing communications. Prior to joining Fallston Group, Kathy owned JigSaw Marketing Solutions (named a Fastest Growing Woman-Owned Business by the Baltimore Business Journal in 2013 and 2015). Since 2002 she has worked with local, national and international businesses in a variety of industries including AEC, travel and tourism, technology, visual communications, financial services, restaurant and retail, education and more. In that capacity, she works tirelessly to uncover marketing and PR opportunities that will help our clients grow.
Prior to founding her own business, Kathy spent 10 years in consumer products brand management and marketing in the toy industry, establishing first-class credentials in branding that carry over to her work today for Fallston Group clients. She has also worked as a senior communications specialist with boutique advertising and public relations agency A. Bright Idea and as a marketing coordinator for CSD Architects.
A native of Baltimore, Kathy holds an undergraduate degree in mass communications with a concentration in journalism from Loyola University and a master’s degree in marketing from Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School. From 2011-2015, Kathy wrote a monthly column for I-95 Business magazine, and has written numerous articles for other trade, consumer, and business publications. She is also a frequent speaker on topics including how to create a marketing plan, the importance of branding, the power of PR and 5 Minute Marketing™.
